We are happy to be back in the office and warehouse after several months of captivity in our homes. It is strange adapting the old life to the new normal, love the smell of hand sanitiser in the morning (Mid-morning, Noon, Mid-afternoon etc)! We're fortunate to be part of a low-density workplace so can social distance with ease and mitigate the risk of catching/spreading Covid 19 at work. Today is commonly known as 'Blue Monday', statistically the most depressing day of the year. An accumulation of reasons not to be cheerful include - early December payday/ normal January payday (feels like forever!), credit card bills from the run-up to Christmas, guilt for overindulging on festive food and drink (compounded by healthy food regime and lack of cheeseboard), cold weather, living space bereft of shiny decoration and going back to work, school etc. We have the antidote for all of this blue-greyness, it is bright, fun and has zero calories (unlike the real-life version). Hey....did Christmas even happen?

As a lover of Christmas, I leave the decorations up as long as is socially acceptable. Some folk like to whip the tinsel away directly after Christmas to have a fresh start for the New Year but I can't quite find the discipline. At New Year, I want to prolong the warm and fuzzy feelings of the festive season by delaying the disposal of used wrapping paper and the packing away of decorations (Cough....hoarder!). This is in direct conflict with the 'New Year, New Me' that wants to be environmentally responsible, clutter-free and organised, going forward into the New Year....
